Down on the farm

I took the boys on a preschool field trip to the Honey Do Farm in Carnation. Despite the rainy day the kids had such a good time tromping around in the mud and getting up close with the animals. It's a family run farm so they pretty much let you do anything you want. . .play in the hay loft, collect eggs from the hen house, pet the horses, hold the rabbits and baby chicks, collect tadpoles and stomp in all the mud puddles you can find! I have to say the Spencer who tends to hold back in larger groups and shows little emotion at times was in his element on the farm. He was leading the pack of kids and pushing his way to the front to be the first to squeeze the baby chicks to death. His face was pure joy and excitement with each new activity that the pictures just don't do it justice.

Some preschool friends and little siblings

I didn't even have to tell them to smile for the pictures

Collecting "taddy-poles" as Carson calls them

Look Mom I found an egg and I'm brushing the pony

Puddle stomping, quite possibly the best part of the trip!

Oh yeah . . . those baby chicks had to be right up there on Spencer's soft and fuzzy favs. As for the puddles, what can I say - the boys are half "Doll" right?? You're a good Mom, Kate, to let them have free reign and totally enjoy the moment. It took me a few kids to get that liberal!!
