She Must Use Magic

I have reason to believe Carson's Kindergarten teacher has magical powers and uses them to produce desirable behaviors from 5 year olds. Let me explain:

Exhibit A: Carson brought this home today as a reward for good behavior. Anyone who has spent any amount of time with the child knows he's never quiet for a minute. He is a constant string of chatter, singing and random noise making everywhere he goes (including the bathroom). Really in the company of 22 other 5 year olds he is as "quiet as a mouse?"

Exhibit B: What in the world did she do to get him to take his time and actually put some effort into his work? I was one of his preschool teachers for 2 years and he was always doing 2 swipes with the crayon and calling it good just to be the first one to finish.

Exhibit C: What a picture without the color green? Up until now I've ONLY seen him use a green crayon to color everything on the page. And again please take note that it actually looks like his best effort here!

I don't know how she does it. . . but I hope she writes a book soon because I could sure use some tips at home!

impressive work for sure. I have to say it probably has everything to do with the fact that she is not you. Now I know that sounds mean but seriously I think sometimes it is amazing what they can and will do when it is not mom asking!

Rebecca is ALWAYS well behaved for her other teachers (church and school) but at home we have quite a few power struggles going on. It's just a parental authority thing I think.

Isn't great that they show their best sides in public?! Carson really did do a great job on those pics! He is going to sail through Kindergarten . .
