Just for laughs

Here are the latest in good laughs from the little people in our house. . . and like I've said before, I couldn't make this stuff up!

Me: Hey did you get to have music class at school today?

Carson: Yes we had a substitute and she had big bazoons.

Me: She had what!? (trying not to sound shocked, as I picture big chested sub + low cut shirt + bending over in front of the class= big bazoons)

Carson: You know bazoons.

Me: No I don't know, tell me.

Carson: You know it makes a low loud noise from the woodwind family.

Me: Oh bassoon! (big sigh of relief)

And one more. . .

I often send Carson and Spencer in to use the bathroom and wash hands together (disaster I know but I do it anyways). I was standing outside the partially closed door to see if Spencer was actually going, and I overheard the following converstation:

Carson: Hey Spencer you want to know a trick?

Spencer: (doesn't answer)

Carson: When Mom's not in here you don't really have to wash your hands. You just do this (he turns on the water and lets it run but never gets his hands wet and then turns it off 8 seconds later). See mom doesn't know.

Spencer: (starts putting soap on his hands)

Carson: No you don't have to use soap either because Mom's not watching.

Spencer (continues to wash hands)

Carson: No you don't get it, you don't have to use soap or water!

At this point I step in before the big brother can impart any more pearls of wisdom that he has gathered over his long 5 years of life. And just so you know I caught on to this "trick" a long time ago, that's why I always ask to smell his hands after he's "washed" and that's why he always has to run back in and wash them again.

A Sign of Things to Come

Carson made this sign for his bedroom door. For those of you not proficient in Kindergarten writing it reads: "No Girls. Only boys. Only 3,5,7,6 (ages). But only Mom Carson and Spencer." It's nice to know around here that the "He man woman hater club" does not include me. I'm not one of the boys, or a girl I'm just Mom.
